Vlad Romanescu, Manager - GIS & IT - MGEM, BES, GIS Dip.

Vlad is Diamond Head’s GIS, Remote Sensing, and IT expert. Vlad is passionate about the intersection of geography, technology, and environmental sustainability and genuinely believes in the power of spatial thinking in solving 21st-century challenges. Vlad brings more than 15 years of diverse expertise in GIS, IT, and Urban Planning to Diamond Head. Vlad has a strong background in enterprise GIS data management, mobile GIS, advanced spatial analysis, web mapping, automation, systems integration, and IT infrastructure implementation. Vlad has also recently graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Master of Geomatics for Environmental Management (MGEM) where he developed his Remote Sensing skills and applied machine learning models in predicting wildfire burn severity outcomes in British Columbia’s interior. At Diamond Head, Vlad is entrusted to manage and grow the company’s geospatial capabilities, and to be the GIS and Remote Sensing subject matter expert for all projects and initiatives.
