Nguyet-Anh Nguyen, Geospatial Data Scientist - M.Sc. Forestry, B.Sc. Natural Resources Management

Nguyet-Anh is a Geospatial Data Scientist with years of experience working in the fields of GIS and data analytics. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources Management and a Master of Science in Forestry from the University of British Columbia. Since joining Diamond Head in 2020, Nguyet-Anh has played a crucial role in various urban forest, biology, and environmental planning projects spanning Canada and the U.S. Her expertise encompasses advanced geospatial analysis, modelling, remote sensing applications, data management, web application & field forms development, and automated GIS workflows. 

During her time at Diamond Head, she led geospatial components of several biology planning projects, focusing on green infrastructure networks and ecological connectivity at both local and regional scales. Nguyet-Anh is also the technical and analysis lead for 2 DHC’s Woodland Management Plans in Ontario. When not working on a specific geospatial project, Nguyet-Anh provides essential GIS and statistical support to staff in multiple departments, including arboriculture, wildfire management, and ecological restoration. With a passion for making positive impacts on our communities and the environment, Nguyet-Anh is thrilled to continue leveraging her geospatial expertise for years to come.
